Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Canham graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1993. After practicing for seven years in suburban Chicago, he relocated to Hilton Head Island in 2000 and purchased the Southern Smiles practice.
With nearly 1,000 hours of advanced training, Dr. Canham specializes in cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, implants, endodontics, sedation dentistry, TMJ dysfunction, sleep apnea, and cosmetic dentures.
Dr. Canham is married to Jeanie and they have four children. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, coaching, spending time at the beach, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Scheduling Coordinator
A former long-time patient who completed her own orthodontics with Dr. Canham. Maggie brings a unique patient perspective to coordinating your care.
Business Coordinator
In the dental field since 2005 and with Southern Smiles since 2006. A member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers.
Lead Dental Assistant
Skilled in oral surgery, implants, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Kelly also provides Spanish-language liaison services for our patients.
Dental Hygienist
Holds an associate degree in dental hygiene and a bachelor's in human services. Certified in infiltration anesthesia for your comfort.
